ATC Aerial View

ResponsiveWeb LLC operates from the Atlantic Telecom Center. A 750,000 square-foot, 100% dedicated mission critical facility located in New York City. Owners Carlyle Realty and JPMorgan Partners have transformed the former tire plant into a secure, carrier neutral telecom facility through the implementation of a comprehensive and carefully designed $60 million renovation. To date, 430,000 square feet of space has been leased to telecommunications tenants such as Williams Communications and Digital Island. The Atlantic Telecom Center offers 100 watts of power per square foot, 90,000 square foot floorplates, spacious riser systems, industrial strength floor loading capacity, generator, fuel tank and dry cooler farms, and connectivity to multiple fiber providers including Verizon, AT&T, MFN, WorldCom, Williams, ConEd Communications and Telergy.

Located just 10 minutes from downtown Manhattan, the Atlantic Telecom Center occupies a three-acre city block bounded by Atlantic Avenue, ATC LobbyVanderbilt Avenue, Fulton Street and Clermont Avenue in Brooklyn. The building is convenient to public transportation and easily accessible by car with a secure 113-space parking facility.

Primary:
Your servers will not be subject to power fluctuations, we distribute systems spacially to never consume more than 100 watts per square foot of power at 480 volts, 3-phase, 4 wire. Existing electric service consists of three 2,000-kVA, 460V, 3-phase transformers. New infrastructure design consists of four vaults, each capable of housing six 2,500-kVA transformers, providing 52,500 kVA of total power or roughly 13,000 kVA per vault at 480 volts. ConEdison has the ability to serve the total planned requirements of the building. ConEdison's N+2 redundant design format for all phases of power distribution is one of the most reliable sources of power in the United States.

Emergency:
A dedicated generator farm has been master planned to accommodate 31 (2,000-kw) generators and ancillary equipment for standby back-up power to guard against interruptions or low voltage conditions. Construction of the structural steel stub-ups for tenant generator dunnage was completed during the base building renovations to expedite tenant installation. The ATC is installing generator capacity available for tenant use. Depending on power requirements, these generators are available through paralleling gear, or standing alone for a specific user or multiple users.

Fuel:
The ATC has been master planned to accommodate fuel storage and containment and associated pumping and filtering stations for approximately 300,000 gallons of diesel fuel. This will provide tenants with sufficient fuel storage capacity to operate all generators on a continuous basis for 72+ hours without refueling. ATC's design allows for easy refueling access.

To support the designed power consumption and all ancillary loads, we utilize 128 (130-ton) dry coolers and similar piggyback units.

Our infrastructure is tested rigorously, and not just within the bounds of our own network. Arbinet performs testing that aims to replicate the user experience, testing our connectivity to key sites and servers around the world off our network. Every 2 hours 1000 individual results measuring ICMP Round trip time (millisecond measure), ICMP Packet loss (in percent), TCP Transfer Rate (kbytes/second), and Hop count are conducted.

ATC Lobby
The ResponsiveWeb Network Infrastructure is protected by fire life safety and smoke purge systems, as well as 24-hour attended lobby and security force with integrated CCTV and Card Access Systems. Building systems, perimeter and sensitive areas are monitored 24/7 from a Security Station located on Ground Floor.
Additional information can be found in our Standards Compliant Security White Paper and Disaster Recovery White Paper.

  • AT&T
AT&T is completing the upgrade of its backbone running along Fulton Street immediately adjacent to the ATC. AT&T's network at the building offers fully redundant architecture and a high fiber count.
  • CONED COMMUNICATIONS (CEC)
CEC is currently deploying its network with a 432 fiber count, connecting ATC through 2 POE's and interconnecting with 60 Hudson and 111 Eighth Avenue in Manhattan. CEC provides distance insensitive pricing to most CO's, POPs and data centers in greater New York City.
  • MFN
MFN is currently completing construction of a high-fiber count Brooklyn ring providing ATC tenants with diverse access to MFN's network. The ATC's unique location on MFN's network provides ATC tenants with on-net access to MFN's important New York-area rings.
  • OPTICAL COMMUNICATIONS GROUP
OCG is a NY-based carrier's carrier providing short and long-haul fiber-optic services. OCG provides connections from the Trans-Atlantic cable landings in Eastern Long Island into major points of connectivity in Brooklyn and Manhattan. OCG is constructing a new state-of-the-art connection from the cable landings into Manhattan and beyond via its primary transmission facilities based in the ATC.
  • TELERGY
Telergy is under contract to construct a high-fiber count connection between the ATC and Manhattan, including a direct tie-in to 60 Hudson Street. Telergy is a market leader in New York State in providing metro services in major New York markets. Telergy owns and operates network in 16 New York markets including Manhattan, White Plains, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo and Ithaca as well as Montreal, Canada.
  • VERIZON
Verizon is currently connected to ATC and is 90% complete with an enhancement of an OC-48 SONET ring connecting ATC via the important Bridge Street and Clinton Avenue central offices for full network redundancy. Verizon is installing 24 four-inch conduits in multiple POE's at ATC to enhance connectivity for future providers.
  • WILLIAMS COMMUNICATIONS
Williams is relocating its New-York area Network Operations Center to the building. Williams will own its own diverse high fiber-count network to the building. Williams has one of the largest networks in the United States and enjoys SBC Communications as a strategic partner and as its largest customer.
