You can setup an auto responder on our e-mail server
using procmail.
To use procmail, you need to insert this line into the .qmail
file for your account:
| preline /usr/bin/procmail
Then, you will need to edit the .procmailrc file for
your account to configure procmail to act appropriately. The following
is a simple example that automatically sends a response, in the
mesg file, to everyone who send you a message:
Note the definition of DEFAULT. You can create a more
sophisticated auto responder by changing the scripts in the .procmailrc
file. For more help on writing procmail scripts, please refer to the
procmail web site.
